The Crystal Maze

On Monday evening, the latest Dragons versus the Lions event took place. The Crystal Maze is a race between the teams where they can earn points by completing a series of difficult tasks that involve, intelligence, agility, communication and teamwork.

The tasks completed involved blindfolded team members being guided through a maze and collecting valuable items, making recognisable shapes out of human bodies on the lawn and collecting egg shaped crystals from the ground using a hook and three pieces of string, to name just three.

In this game the students had to drop the ball into the tube and catch it with the same hand before it touches the floor.... easier said than done!!

Skill, judgement and fine motor control as well as teamwork and good listening skills are needed when three people are using a hook tied to all of their pieces of string to pick up baskets with eggs inside. Here you can see Waad and her team mates focussing on the task in hand.
