Goodbye from Discovery Summer 2017

Discovering Horse Riding

Twice a week a small group of students go to the nearby town of Somerby to ride horses. They are divided into two groups: the beginners and the more experienced horse riders.

The beginners stay inside and learn how to trot, canter and gallop, as well as the proper way to hold the reigns, the saddle and how to get the horses going!

The more advanced group goes outside to jump over all sort of barriers and every time it goes well the barrier goes a little higher, and then even higher! It's very impressive!

And while the students are working hard to master their horse riding skills, they always know where they can find their teacher: making friends with the stable cat of course!

Then at the very end, while we were waiting for the taxi, some of the girls decided that they really didn't need the horses and they were fine to do the jumping on their own! Well done, girls!
