Up and Running!!!

On Friday 6th July over 110 students and student hosts arrived at Uppingham school for the start of Discovery Summer Uppingham 2012 for what promises to be the best summer the County of Rutland has ever seen!! 

A warm welcome was received by all of our new arrivals and after a good nights sleep the course started in earnest on Saturday with the induction led by Course Director Tony and his aweseom team of teachers and Activity Leaders.

The first of the spectacular evening events was the epic 50:50 battle between our two teams Apollo and Zeus. A series of mini battles including, blindfolded muffin eating, human caterpillar races, bob-apple and an all star activvity leader chilli eating race were held before the winners were decided by the finest of margins. below are some of the pictures of the night.
