Goodbye from Discovery Summer 2017

Thursday Presentations

Thursday was the end of our second week which means it is time for us to see what the students have been up to in their classes and in their workshops. 

This week the Pre-Boarding Students focussed their presentation on the trip to Burghley House. It was an information and fun-fact filled presentation with some very articulate descriptions showing of some of their new vocabulary as well as some wonderful poster displays about wham they have learned. 

The English and Multi-Actvity Students took part in a variety of workshops where they use different ideas such as journalism, calligraphy and travel writing to explore the English language, increasing their vocabulary and practicing the skills that they learn in their classes. 

I think you will agree they have had a busy but wonderfully creative week!

We also presented a large number of wristbands, celebrating the wonderful achievements and contributions of all our students and here you can see the Yellow Dragons getting their award for winning the colour wars between our groups!
