Fashion Workshop

The Fashion Workshop doubles up as a clothes recycling centre.
 They purchase old t-shirts, dressed and fabric offcuts from the local second hand clothes shop
 They spend time looking at today's fashionable styles and see how they could adapt the fabrics they have into something that would be highly desirable today.
 They take the time to sketch out their designs before they start measuring and cutting the fabrics into the right sizes to be stitched together.

 As in all the fashion design studios around the world, a little improvisation has to be made to get things finished in time for the catwalk shows.
 The buzz in the design studio in the build up to the show was palpable.
 And the atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation between students from different countries was fantastic to experience.
 All the girls in the workshop said it was a great experience and helped them to develop lots of new vocabulary to do with design and dress-making.
