Sunday evening saw Uppingham students designing outfits for our Activity Leaders to parade down the catwalk in using nothing but trash! This creative challenge was taken up admirably by all the students and some of the outfits were absolutely fantastic!
The students were given limited resources, consisting of sweet and crsp wrappers, left over poster paper from the classrooms and a few binliners. Their challenge was to make an outfit for their AL in just 45 minutes but the outfit was pre-determined.
The judges could not have had an easy time, as the outfits were all absolutely outstanding and we surely have some potentially high flying fashion designers in our midst. Some of the outfits are featured below!
They included: Punk Milly, Astronaut India, Nurse Marketa, Queen Alex, Bride Alex (complete with bridesmaids), Lollipop Lady Rosselyn, Pirate Noah, Ninja Joe, Wizard Andy and Cowgirl Connie. Thanks to our Judges Chardonnay Abel and Hippie Tom and of course the lovely Group leader Virginia!
Well done to the winning team the Red Lions for their very impressive Brides and Bridesmaids outfits. If Kate and Will had waited a few more months I am sure that we would have seen this cutting edge design being worn in Westminster Abbey!
