PARACHUTES
Well done to everyone who made some interesting designs for their parachutes which we tested from the top of the steps by the Old School Room (OSR) and also from the dizzy heights of the tower by the main entrance! Students calculated velocity and acceleration and did other calculations in this project using equations of motion:
It was great fun and it was very pleasing for me to see that students enjoyed this activity!

v = u + at
v2 = u2 + 2as
s = ut + ½ at2
s = ½ (u+v)t
a = acceleration, v = final velocity, u = initial velocity, t = time & s = displacement
It was great fun and it was very pleasing for me to see that students enjoyed this activity!
